For the first time in Palestine, Ephpheta Paul VI had the honor to organize the first conference of the importance of deaf education, Sponsored by Bethlehem Ministry of education.

The conference started with a speech from the school principle Sister Cecilia Carpenedo, Followed by a word from Mr. Giovanni Nannini the AVSI director, Mr. Sami Mroueh the principle of Bethlehem ministry of education.

The conference went through two sessions. The first session started by Mr. Mou'awea Awwad about the Role of Ministry of education. Afterwards, the lawyer Rock Rock talked about the Palestinian legislations concerning the deaf rights of education. In addition, to Mr. Bassam Alsayel, who had shared his experience in the role of the social affair ministry in supporting the deaf. The second session included speeches from Dr. Cairo Arafat about early interference in supporting the deaf. Dr. Nancy Elias talked about the role of schools in educating and integrating the deaf in the society. And Ms. Reham Mousa, who had shown the Palestinian statistics of the deaf integration in the society.

It was concluded by a discussion among the attendance supporting the importance of deaf education, and demanding for a real apply of the Palestinian legislation of the deaf rights.
